This place is just amazing. If you are not one for "weird" food, you should try it. It's not odd tasting or spicy. Many people are pleasantly surprised by this "exotic" cuisine. The Shish Taouk and Riz Taouk are my favorites, and of course they have the usual Mideastern standards such as falafel, hummus, and tabbouleh. don't take the word of syndicated-local restauraunt guides - saleems is home to the best falafel in town. not to mention a much larger vegetarian selction than you might expect, and a good wine list. combined with fair prices, i'd wager its the safest best in the near-east (side) - Skewgee , posted 04/17/06 |

Update: 1/24/09 Unfortunately Saleem's has closed. It will be greatly missed by all of us. Saleem's has great food, a full bar and belly dancing by Aalim dancers on Friday and Saturday nights.
